Manor Farm House, at one time a Medieval Grange run by the Monks at nearby Hinton Priory, stands proudly with its impressive 17th century façade.

The Manor offers a superb venue for a country house ‘hen’ weekend. We are a short drive from Bath in the beautiful Somerset village of Norton St Philip. We have two local pubs - The George Inn, claimed to be one of the oldest in England (a great place to meet up on Friday evening) and the Fleur de Lys. Both serve delicious home cooked food and are a few minutes walk.

The Manor has a huge entertaining room with a dining table for 14 guests and a seating area with lots of comfy sofas, large flat screen TV, Bose ipod docking station and wood burning stove on the ground floor. There is also a ‘secret’ kitchen downstairs, with capacious cooker, dishwasher, microwave and Smeg fridge.

The grand oak circular staircase leads you to two wonderful bedrooms on the 1st floor, a regal four poster bedroom with spacious bathroom, travertine tiles, shower and bath and a beautifully designed twin bedroom with a stylish shower en suite.
A winding staircase follows on to the top floor where there are two further bedrooms amongst the beautiful attic beams , high ceilings and spectacular country views. One room has a double bed and two additional single beds, with a power shower en suite. The fourth bedroom with exposed stone walls and twin beds. There is an adjacent bathroom with separate bath and shower.

The cosy sitting room on the top floor has three large sofas including a double sofa bed. There is a second dining room for up to eight guests and a fully equipped second kitchen.

We can accommodate up to 14 hens in four bedrooms and one sofa bed (in the upstairs sitting room). Additional beds can be placed in the bedrooms.

Bath is 6 miles away and offers a superb shopping experience, stunning architecture, coffee shops, comedy, arts and food festivals. Swim in Bath’s natural hot waters at the Thermae Spa. Book a craft course at The Makery in Bath especially designed for hens.
We are privileged to have two wonderful farm shops close by selling high quality local produce. Local riding stables and clay pigeon shooting too. Discover delightful walks around our historic village and surrounding countryside. A wonderful place to relax after a busy day's sightseeing , shopping or celebrating!
