The Ormidale Estate, just an hour and a half from Glasgow airport offers a brilliant selection of luxury properties for an up-market, exclusive and private hen weekend. The cost can be incredibly low per head, if you opt for low season, fill the property, and go self-catering. Alternatively our caterers will supply fabby food to your own specification and budget, we can organize pampering sessions and treatments for you in your own house, and a variety of adventurous and challenging activities from kayaking and gorge-walking, to horse-riding, 4 wheel driving and clay pigeon shooting. We have a tennis court and an indoor heated swimming pool for guests use, on the estate.

We have three lovely big houses, sleeping 24, 18, and 14 respectively. Ormidale House is the largest, with a fantastic dining hall that sits 24, thirteen bedrooms and eight bathrooms. The Mill House has nine bedrooms and three bathrooms, and features a fantastic open plan living space of nearly 1,000 square feet. It sleeps up to 18 adults. The Old Barn is a lovely seven bedroom house for up to 14 guests, with three bathrooms and gorgeous travertine marble flooring throughout the ground floor. All three houses have their own hot tubs and saunas. Almost all bedrooms in all three houses have their own wash-handbasins. We have recently completed the restoration of the charming wee Garden Cottage which is designed to accommodate over-flow guests from any of the other properties, as well as a ground floor space easier to access for those of limited mobility. The two bedroom, two box room layout enables as many as 8 or 9 additional guests to be booked in at a slightly lower cost per head.

We don’t welcome rowdy groups of girls “on the lash” or looking for a club and bar-style atmosphere. The estate is used by families, corporate groups, etc. If you are looking for a luxurious, civilized, away-from-it-all experience, in some of Scotland’s most beautiful scenery, where you can let your hair down with your friends and family, in the privacy of a gorgeous holiday property – then Ormidale may well be the place for you.
