Whitelady House has been renovated and lovingly refurbished exuding style and character with oak beams, inglenook fireplaces and exposed stone work whilst retaining a homely, relaxed atmosphere. Situated close to Tavistock, down a private drive, the huge expanse of Dartmoor is 100yds from the entrance, and Lydford Gorge is at the bottom of the garden, there are activities a plenty. For the adventurous, riding, cycling, tree surfing, canoeing, or wargames or for the less adventurous there is golf and walking on the doorstep or why not try an afternoon of soap making, a jewelry workshop or just an afternoon of pampering,. Whitelady House has a spacious modern kitchen with integrated appliances plus an Aga. A large dining room with original slate floor and oak Arts and Craft table, the drawing room, with opulent silk curtains, inglenook fireplace and woodburner, and large comfy sofas. Opposite the kitchen is the second sitting room with woodburner, sofas, TV, DVD, Wii, and ipod docking station. Off the hall is a pretty downstairs twin bedroom with en suite shower room and french doors onto the garden. Two oak staircases lead up to 5 luxurious individually designed bedrooms. Two have king size beds and 3 twin beds. There are two en-suites and a large family bathroom and at the top of the main staircase is a quiet reading area. Luxury high quality pure cotton bed linen, robes and fluffy white towels are all provided

Outside is a large garden with terrace and Hot tub, a barbecue area with dining area, croquet lawn and table tennis, and stables if you wish to bring your own horse and ride out on the moor.

We provide a memorable venue for a fun relaxing party, either self-catering or catered. Removing the burden of cooking for large groups, we prepare and serve your meals at the house, or leave you to add the finishing touches before popping our delicious food in the oven.
